One of the most common questions I get asked from my clients is where can I find images for my new store?
It is easy to get confused with various licenses and that is why you need to know where to get your pictures so that you won’t get busted.
Here is some places to find photos that I love (And you will too).
So lets get started on finding the new photos for your store that make the looks really pop!
1. pixabay.com
With Pixabay you can find free stock photos, vectors and illustrations. They have almost a million of these pictures already so there is a good chance that you will get lucky. The good thing with Pixabay is that there is very little fluff there. All the pictures are high quality and they fit search terms very well.
2. Unsplash.com
Unsplash is a more artistic, photography heavy altenrative for pixabay. They don’t have all that many pictures to choose from but the ones that are available are guaranteed to be quality pictures. Use unsplash for more general type of pictures. It is a very good resource if you are just kind of looking around, not knowing exactly what you are after yet.
3. If you haven’t found what you are searching yet, then check out pexels.com
Pexels is in many ways a combination of Pixabay and Unsplash with Pixabays unbeatable quality combined with Unsplashes selection of individual photographers. Give it a shot if you didn’t find what you were looking for from the first two options.
4. The good old google images rounds up our top 4, check it out at images.google.com.
A little hidden trick with Google is that you need to pick the correct search terms. These are the search terms I recommend
Google has a fantastic selection of pictures but not too many of them are labeled free for commercial use, there is also a lot of junk in there that you have to crawl through. So this option is only for the most patient and old-school among us.
Thats it. I hope you enjoyed the list and found some pictures that you can use for your next project.
